Museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, from 1 to 4 pm. For checks, please address it to "FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge."
For those closer to Roanoke, advance tickets may also be purchased at the FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Office located in the Jefferson Center, 541 Luck Ave., Suite 310. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm.
Domino
In the heart of Nashville, the trio of Cole Ritter, Luca Chiappara, and Addie Levy weaves a stellar blend of Bluegrass, Jazz, and Swing. Their music, polished through years of exploration, brings a magic to the stage. All three members are nationally touring musicians, working for multiple artists and touring under their own names. Joining together in the fall of 2023, the three created a powerhouse trio that shows off each of their strengths and true love for music.
Earl White
Earl White has been a fixture in the old time music community for nearly 50 years. Known for his broad collection of tunes and his driving style, Earl is one of the founding members of the Green Grass Cloggers and remains one of the few Black Americans carrying on the string band tradition.
Pythagoras
Forged in the heart of Johnson City, Tennessee, Pythagoras pushes the boundaries of bluegrass and acoustic music! Pythagoras’ members include Grant Dresnok (guitar & lead vocals), Gracie Grossman (fiddle), Joe Henson (Mandolin), and Lexi Wagnitz (upright bass). If you like the hard-driving bluegrass, groovy fiddle tunes, jam bands, and a lot of original material, you’ll love Pythagoras’ sound.
Jim Lloyd
Musical eclectic, singer, old-time banjo great, public radio host, music teacher, bluegrass rhythm guitarist, storyteller, banjo museum curator, barber of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Jim Lloyd puts his mountain guitar expertise front and center on Play Guitar in 7 Days. Solo, accompanying banjo genius Carl Johnson, and in string bands such as the acclaimed Konnarock Critters, Lloyd has established himself as a towering figure in Appalachian music today.
